James Bartholet Receives 2 XBIZ Awards Nominations

LOS ANGELES — Adult star, Galaxy Publicity owner and “Inside the Industry” host James Bartholet has received two nominations for Best Non-Sex Performance in the 2017 XBIZ Awards, to be held on Thursday, Jan. 12 at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles and hosted by Ron Jeremy.

One is for Bartholet's work in Harry Sparks’ “Beauty and the Beast XXX: An Erotic Fairy Tale Parody,” and the other is for his contributions to Hustler Video’s “This Ain’t American Horror Story XXX,” directed by Marc Weston.

“Wow, this is incredible: two nominations in the same category,” Bartholet said. “I want to thank everybody at XBIZ and everybody that voted for me. On ‘Beauty and the Beast XXX,’ it took a lot of work to perform in front of a green screen for an entire movie, and to do some real acting to imagine the surroundings and react to your fellow actor. On ‘This Ain’t American Horror Story XXX,’ there were so many details to not just the scenes and performances, but also, the makeup and special effects. My makeup and the character I was portraying was so scary; I was scaring my fellow actors and the director. I appreciate that XBIZ saw the work we put into these movies.”

Harry Sparks said, “James did a remarkable job in ‘Beauty and the Beast.’ Like the rest of the cast, he had to bring a character to life while acting in front of a green screen, and the result has exceeded my expectations.”

Marc Weston said, “I always like working with James, and he did an incredible and convincing job in ‘This Ain’t American Horror Story XXX.'"
