Williams Trading Offers Lovehoney's 'Fifty Shades Darker' for Pre-Order

PENNSAUKEN, N.J. — Veteran adult distributor Williams Trading Co. has announced that Lovehoney’s new Fifty Shades Darker line of BDSM toys is now available for pre-order.

All of the products in Lovehoney’s Fifty Shades Darker line have been approved by E.L. James, author of the novel “Fifty Shades of Grey” and its sequel “Fifty Shades Darker.”

A spokesperson for Williams Trading Co. said, “The Fifty Shades Darker Collection encompasses 14 beautifully constructed restraints, punishment tools and sensual body adornments that best depict items featured in the upcoming movie, ‘Fifty Shades Darker,’ scheduled for release Valentine’s Day 2017. All of (them) prominently display the official ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ licensing label.”

In September, Universal Studios released the first official trailer for the “Fifty Shades Darker” film— and the trailer, according to a Williams Trading Co. spokesperson, “amassed an unprecedented 114 million views in its first 24 hours from various digital platforms. It received more than 2.5 million views on the film's official Facebook page. Over 39.4 million views came from North America, while 74.6 million views came from over 32 international markets, including the U.K., Mexico and France. This broke the previous record held by ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ when it racked up 112 million views in the same amount of time in Oct. 2015.”

Erin Viereck, marketing and vendor liaison for Williams Trading Co., said, “As with the release of the books and the first movie, ‘Fifty Shades Darker’ is slated to increase adult novelty purchasing once again as curious newcomers and mainstream adults become interested in replicating the bondage scenes and steamy sex depicted in the series. Although it's unclear how long the uptick in adult sales will continue after the movie release, it’s a sure bet it will draw new customers into an adult store.”

Scott Dantis, director of sales and marketing for Williams Trading Co., said, “Now is the perfect time for retailers to prepare for the Valentine selling season. This new offering of high-quality silicone toys and quality bondage items is sure to create a buzz on the retail floor and increase sales.”
