System JO Announces Winner of Gelato Contest

LOS ANGELES — System JO has announced that Glenn Le Boeuf, VP of operations for Nalpac Distribution in Detroit, is the winner of their Gelato contest.

In July, System JO debuted their Gelato line of lubricants at the ANME Founders Show in Burbank, Calif. Retail and distribution buyers were polled on their favorite flavors and entered in a contest for a chance to win a vacation to St. John in the Virgin Islands; System JO promised airfare for two along with a four-night stay at SIRENUSA, an exclusive, five-acre community of lush villas.

“I’ve not been to any of the Virgin Islands yet, and this has been a bucket list trip for me for as long as I can remember,” Le Boeuf said. “After I got over the initial shock and disbelief [of winning], my response was, ‘St. John’s! Yay! Awesome! Woo hoo!’”

The entire island is preserved as a national park, and Le Boeuf looks forward to enjoying the great outdoors.

“There’ll be lots of beach time and lots of hiking to take in as much nature as we can,” Le Boeuf said.

System JO's poll/contest revealed that Creme Brulee was the top-rated flavor in the Gelato collection.

“This has been our favorite since the first prototype was created,” said Ryan McCrobie, product education specialist for System JO. “It is always surprising to watch people taste it for the first time. They get a shocked look on their face and excitedly exclaim, ‘How did you make it so creamy?’"

Le Boeuf said, “JO did a great job with this line, and all of the flavors are spot-on. We just showcased the line at our annual open house, and a broad range of customers, from conventional stores to boutiques to specialty stores, added it to their orders…..I think the line has broad appeal and will do very well.”
