BAKERSFIELD — Joanna Angel, alt-porn star and founder of Burning Angel Productions, will host an “Introduction to S&M” workshop and a meet-and-greet at Larry Flynt’s Hustler Hollywood store in Bakersfield, Calif. tonight at 9 p.m.
Angel's free two-hour class, she said, aims to inform, educate and stimulate attendees' curiosity about BDSM, highlighting the essential basics of bondage/restraint, whips, paddles, sensation play and safety/boundary guidelines.
"S&M can be an intimidating experience for a newbie,” Angel said. “So my workshop is geared towards making the experience fun and (taking) away some of the apprehension that may be associated with it. I will be demonstrating how to use toys from my Stockroom line and will be selling advance copies of my upcoming movie, ‘Dominantly Submissive.’"
Angel will soon release the BDSM showcase “Joanna Angel: Dominantly Submissive” on Sept. 19. A spokesperson described the forthcoming release as “a stylish spectacle of kink for Angel, who takes on the roles of both dominant mistress and submissive slave.”
