TOKYO — Hotaru Akane, the former Japanese performer known as the “Shiofuki Queen” who performed in more than 1,000 adult videos, died earlier this month after she was discovered collapsed at her home, according to multiple reports.
Akane, 32, was called the “Shiofuki Queen” for her master ability to perform shiofuki, or female ejaculation.
Reports indicate that she was discovered deceased on Aug. 16 and that a funeral, only attended by her immediate family, was performed. An autopsy reportedly is in the works.
Akane, who came into the biz under the pseudonym Anna Akizuki, retired from porn in 2008 after four years in the biz. Her retirement video was title “Final Gusher — Akane Hotaru’s Retirement Work.”
While Akane mostly performed in movies that were pixelated to hide genitals, she also appeared in some “uncensored” ones as well.
After retiring from porn, Akane moved on as a pole-dance instructor and DJ. She also did mainstream fashion modeling and appeared on numerous sex-ed panels at events.
For philanthropic work, she became a Red Ribbon Ambassador for Taiwan's AIDS Foundation.
