U.K.'s SHAFTAs Slated for Sept. 8 in London

LONDON — The SHAFTAs — known formally as the Soft and Hard Adult Film and Television Awards — are returning next month in the heart of London’s Piccadilly.

The U.K. adult entertainment awards show, put on annually by Television X, will be held at The Rah Rah Room on Thursday, Sept. 8, and take on a “1920s decadence” theme.

“Think Great Gatsby gone porno. Excess and debauchery are top priority and big surprises are to be expected,” a Television X spokesman said.

Television X plans to kick start award season with a promotion allowing some in the public to have a chance of attending the event, which has been referred to as the “U.K. Porn Oscars” by mainstream media types.

Everyone who votes via SMS will automatically be entered into a drawing with the chance of winning tickets to the night.

The official VIP after-party will be held at exclusive new adult entertainment venue 14 Leicester Square.

SHAFTA 2016 is sponsored by The Sunday Sport, VeriMe, TVXcams.com, BabeConnexions.co.uk, 14 Leicester Square, Platinum Lace, The Rah Rah Room, RedHotMates.com and StrictlyConfidential.co.uk.
