LOS ANGELES — James Bartholet, adult and mainstream performer and host of the weekly podcast “Inside the Industry,” is featured in the new Retrofocus Films release “Hitchhiker Massacre,” distributed by Green Apple Entertainment. Bartholet served as an associate producer for “Hitchhiker Massacre,” which a spokesperson described as a “grindhouse mainstream horror film.”
“Hitchhiker Massacre” is about a maniacal killer who picks up young women who are hitchhiking and also features Penthouse Pet Layla Sin. Bartholet plays Woody, a record executive who meets a brutal end while camping in a desolate mountain area.
Bartholet said, “We had a real fun time filming this, but it was pretty grueling filming out on location. I think horror fans will love our homage to the classic grindhouse movie style with this film.”
Bartholet will be featured in the Galaxy Publicity booth at this weekend’s Exxxotica Expo Chicago, to be held at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center from this Fri., Jul. 8 through Sun., Jul. 10. He will also be hosting several seminars, including one on porn parodies on Sunday.
