PinkCherry's Success in Canada Reflects Strong Demand for Sex Toys

TORONTO — PinkCherry, described as "a one-stop shop for buying and selling adult novelties and lingerie," is attributing its success in Canada to the country's strong appetite for sex toys and PinkCherry's ability to meet that demand efficiently.

According to the Berman Center, Canada now ranks fifth in global sex toy sales. And PinkCherry said that in the past 12 months, it has "sold over half a million sex toys in Canada, which includes almost 120,000 vibrators. Men and women are about equal in terms of consumers; however, men tend to spend more per purchase."

PinkCherry said its growth in Canada "is credit to an eager Canadian market that was lacking a reliable and affordable Canadian-based site to purchase adult novelties."

PinkCherry CEO Daniel Freedman said, "We saw a gap in the market in Canada, and we pounced on it with a winning formula. PinkCherry is the story of a thriving business that started from scratch, but is also a testament to a huge and growing interest in the sex toy industry in Canada."

PinkCherry said it has just hit the 1000 mark for online reviews on the Canadian review-sharing website N49.com. PinkCherry's overall score on that site is 4.8 out of a possible 5 stars, and an abundance of positive reviews praise the company's competitive pricing, huge selection, quick shipping and excellent customer service.

Mobile purchases, according to PinkCherry, now "account for 50 percent of purchases."
