Screaming O Donates 80K Condoms to HIPS

LOS ANGELES — Screaming O has collaborated with Woodhull Sexual Freedom Foundation (WSFF) to support HIPS and its Center for Health and Achievement with an 80,000 condom donation.

The HIPS is a Washington D.C.-based organization that provides harm reduction, advocacy, education and outreach to individuals impacted by sexual exchange. Screaming O says its contribution will enable HIPS to provide more safer sex tools to sex workers throughout the east coast.

“Thanks to Screaming O's donation, HIPS will be able to ensure that sex workers have access to condoms that help keep them safe,” HIPS Executive Director Cyndee Clay said. “Due to their generosity, these condoms will be distributed in Washington, D.C., and cities across the country through our partnership networks, addressing a huge gap between what sex workers need and what organizations like HIPS are able to purchase with our limited budgets.”

Screaming O said after it found itself with an influx of latex condoms, the company sought the assistance of WSFF to find an organization in need. WSFF President and CEO Ricci Joy Levy introduced Screaming O reps to the harm reduction organization and helped facilitate one of the largest product donations in the company’s history.

“Woodhull Sexual Freedom Foundation and our annual Sexual Freedom Summit haves maintained a longstanding relationship with HIPS and it was an honor to help connect them with Screaming O,” Levy said. “This is a new collaboration for us and we are pleased to see the dedication Screaming O has put forth toward supporting the sex education community. We look forward to the opportunity to collaborate more in the future and continue assisting organizations like HIPS promote social change.”

This condom donation is the latest of Screaming O’s efforts to support organizations and community members working to promote healthy sexuality. Most recently, the company took part in UCLA’s annual Sextravaganza, an on-campus event dedicated to providing medically accurate and unbiased sexual health and wellness information, as well as awareness of important topics related to healthy sexuality and relationships.

“Giving back to our community and supporting the important work of organizations like Woodhull Sexual Freedom Foundation and HIPS is a priority for us, and we appreciate the opportunity to boost HIPS’s condom supply,” Screaming O Account Executive Conde Aumann said. “The team is happy to know that our condoms are being used as part of HIPS’s efforts to help individuals impacted by sexual exchange have safer sex.”
