Flirt4Free Celebrates 20-Year Anniversary

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. — Flirt4Free is celebrating two decades of streaming live video chat.

The multi-award winning live cam site was founded by a group of young entrepreneurs just outside of Boston in early 1996. The company was founded on a mission that it still adheres to today, said Gregory Clayman, Flirt4Free’s president. This mission is to deliver the best live video chat product with the utmost in professionalism and business acumen.

Like its competitors at the time, Flirt4Free began by utilizing a point-to-point video software platform whereas customers had to download a client that allowed them to interact with the models who had a similar client installed on their computer, Clayman said.

In 1998, Flirt4Free headed west to California and at the same time it became one of the first live cam companies to convert its existing downloadable platform to a video streaming solution that required no special downloads or plugins, Clayman said.

This move paved the way for the company to be one of the first to offer such a live video streaming solution whereas it didn’t require any special downloads and plugins. In hindsight, this proved to be a strategic opportunity for the company prior to becoming the industry norm, Clayman said.

“Flirt4Free has continuously demonstrated that its main focus has been to stay true to its core competency, provide the end-user with the best technological experience in live camming while applying solid business ethics to its corporate endeavors,” he said.

“Flirt4Free has been able to utilize open source and proprietary technology which allows for customizable options built to accommodate even the most discerning webmaster and / or broadcaster. In its early years, some of the biggest names in adult entertainment made their live cam debuts on Flirt4Free, including Jenna Jameson, Tera Patrick, Ron Jeremy and the Vivid Girls along with male talent from Colt as well as the Falcon Family of Companies,” said Jamie Rodriguez, Flirt4Free’s director of broadcasting.

“Today the network boasts more than 100 million unique visitors to their chatrooms each month and maintains over 25,000 registered models and studios from around world,” Rodriguez said.

“Flirt4Free continues to focus on refining innovative services to meet consumer and performer’s needs and expectations,” Clayman said.

“Flirt4Free not only maintains the highest quality and number-one live video service online, but also provides its affiliates with the most recent and state-of-the-art ways to market as well as track their performance. As one the most successful and well-established affiliate programs in the industry, Flirt4Free recently revamped their highly successful affiliate site in order to offer a variety of new promotional tools to help their affiliates,” said Jeff Wilson, Flirt4Free’s director of business development

“Over the years, Flirt4Free has made built some solid relationships with some of the leading sex toy giants in the industry. Our deal with Fleshlight featured the first personalized sex toy molds of some of our top cam performers in industry, while our deal with KIIROO brings interactivity to the next level by providing true interactive devices to the Flirt4Free live video chat platform. Flirt4Free has built a reputation as an industry leader as we’re in an ongoing effort to expand the business onto new platforms in our attempt to stay at the forefront of the industry,” Wilson said.

To commemorate 20 years of award-winning live web cam knowledge, successful industry relations and new media experiences that have gone into our live web cams foundational platform, Flirt4Free will be announcing special promotions all year long to celebrate this momentous occasion,” said Brad Estes, Flirt4Free’s executive vice president.

“Flirt4Free has paved the way for the future in live web camming as it continues to create mindsets and methodologies that reinforce the fact that human connection is the key, not only on the consumer end, but for its broadcasters as well. Flirt4Free continues to research market-defining technology that not only enhances the consumer experience but the performer’s experience as well,” Estes said.

“We are proud of our 20-year accomplishment and thank everyone who helped us get to where we are today. In many ways, the past 20 years has been a culmination of experiences and knowledge for us to build upon and continue to provide the industry with an award winning service that is second to none,” Clayman said.
