Prowler Distribution Is Acquired by Stunner Media, Jean Bourne Group

MONTREAL — Stunner Media and long-time British partner Jean Bourne Group have purchased one of Europe’s largest gay DVD distribution companies — Prowler Distribution.

Prowler Distribution, founded in 1993 when VHS business was booming, is a gay DVD powerhouse on the other side of the Atlantic, currently offering numerous major gay brands, including Bel Ami, UK Naked Men, BlakeMason, BoyNapped and Butch Dixon. The company also has a licensing deal with Falcon Studios Group, among numerous others.

Montreal-based Stunner Media operates eight popular gay affiliate programs, including StandAhead.com, Phoenixxx.com, IndieBucks.com, HunkMoney.com, EmoProfits.com, BritishBucks.com, BoyCrushCash.com and LatinoBucks.com. The company also owns the  GayWideWebmasters.com forum.

Jean Bourne Group operates BlakeMason.com with Stunner.

With the deal, Prowler Distribution will continue under its current name and is working closely with former owner, Millivres Prowler Group, to help guarantee a smooth transition.

The Prowler Distribution sale was prompted by Millivres Prowler Group’s decision to focus its efforts on Gay Times, DIVA, Expectations and the retail side of Prowler.

“It is our strong long-running relationship with Simon Topham CEO at Millivres Prowler Group  and Jay Michaud President at Stunner Media that made this deal possible,” said Benjamin Willis, CEO of Jean Bourne Group.

“We are already in a very successful partnership with Stunner as co-owners of the brand BlakeMason.com and with Millivres Prowler Group as co-sponsors of the annual Prowler Porn Awards, this year to be in London on May 11,” Willis said. “I am delighted with the purchase and look forward to working closely with all our customers, suppliers and partners."

“Prowler Distribution has long been the best European distributor of gay porn’s top brands and it’ll be business as usual after the ownership change,” Stunner Media officials said. “We want customers and studios to be confident knowing that Prowler’ Distribution’s great service won’t change.”

Millivres Prowler Group’s Prowler Products Wholesale, which sells herbal viagras, poppers, calendars and more, was not part of the deal and will continue to function as a separate business.
