XXX Content Offers On2 VP6 Encoding, Acid Rain Plug-In

CHATSWORTH, Calif. — Adult content provider XXX Content Direct today announced it now offers On2 VP6 video encoding for Flash players, free with any licensed purchased content.

"Considering that [On2 Video] been chosen over every other codec by Adobe to be included in their latest flash players ... it's just a kick ass codec," XXX Content owner Noelani Westall said. "The quality of the codecs far surpasses Windows Media and H264."

On2 Technologies is the premier developer of video compression technology for Flash, Internet, VOIP, video-on-demand and wireless applications. On2's VP6 codec enables all XXX Content Direct content to be compatible with and played on Flash players.

"The use of On2’s system for super high-quality video compression will allow us to reach 95 percent of the computer market," said Paul Pastore, vice president of operations at XXX Content Direct. "[It] is a huge leap forward."

The company also will launch its Acid Rain plug-ins May 1.
