Penny Flame Pursues Contracts, Launches New Site After Leaving Shane's World

SAN DIEGO — Penny Flame didn't want to return to San Diego until she was ready.

"I got myself all cleaned up," she told XBIZ, referring to an earlier struggle with cocaine. "And now that I know I can handle myself, I figured it was time to come back."

Flame recently severed ties with Shane's World, where she had directed "Blazed And Confused 1," "Shane's World: Girls Night Out 2" and "Shane's World: Girls Night Out 3." She now says she "wants nothing to do with them."

Shane’s World Vice President of Sales Megan Stokes said that she and her company "wish nothing but the best for Flame."

About her cocaine problem, Flame said it used to be so "huge" that she had to take time off from school at San Diego State. She said she's been clean since July 2004, and now that she's ended her relationship with Shane's World, she plans to pursue a directing contract with Wicked, Digital Playground or Vivid.

Flame also just launched her new website, ClubPenny.com, which features a sleek, green design and a liberal use of the marijuana plant as a decorative icon.

Flame added that she's going house-shopping with an old friend in San Diego over the next week, and despite the longer commute to the San Fernando Valley, she said she's looking forward to being able to keep her home life and her triple-X life separate.

"It's funny," she said. "I never intended to move to L.A. I don't care for the smog and the attitudes that go with the pollution. But I didn't realize until now that I was the one who had an issue, that it was me that had the problem."
