All Media Play President Jeff Mullen told XBIZ that the specifics of the joint-release deal have both its production arm X-Play and Adam & Eve co-owning each movie with both companies splitting the net receipts and the financing of each project.
Under the terms of the deal, X-Play will create an unspecified number of movies for Adam & Eve, which includes co-producing original series like the upcoming Jennifer Lopez spoof “J-Ho: Jenny on the Cock,” a risqué Beyonce takeoff and the interracial series “Long Dong Black Kong” among others.
Separate from the joint production deal are numerous lines for Adam & Eve’s hard-edged gonzo label Bad Seed that will be directed by X-Play director Will Rider, including “Bubble Gum Cuties,” “Big Dicks Bouncing Tits” and “Young & Experienced.”
While the new non-exclusive deal brings X-Play closer to Adam & Eve, Mullen said his company still maintains strong ties with LFP brands Hustler Video and VCA Pictures and plans to continue its fruitful relationship with them.
“A deal like this was the goal I was reaching for when I started in this business,” Mullen said. “I couldn’t be aligned with two better companies in Adam & Eve and Hustler. This is a huge deal for X-Play and All Media Play and represents a big step forward for us in 2007.”
Mullen and X-Play Vice President Scott David signed the contract at Adam & Eve Pictures’ Chatsworth, Calif. offices along with Adam & Eve President Bob Christian, Vice President of Sales Peter Reynolds and executive producer Meredith Christopher present.
“Jeff, Scott and All Media Play are winners and Adam & Eve is looking forward to the success of our partnering,” Christian said.
All Media Play will continue handling marketing and public relations for a select group of clients including Hillary Scott and Sex Z Pictures.
