Adult film superstar Stoya will host the 14th annual gala at the spectacular J.W. Marriott located at L.A. Live in downtown Los Angeles, within walking distance to Staples Center, the Los Angeles Convention Center, Nokia Theatre and the Grammy Museum.

This year, XBIZ received a record number of pre-nominations with more than 8,800 submissions by industry members through XBIZ.net, the industry's leading social network.

Several changes have been made for the 2016 award categories in an effort to be inclusive of previously unrecognized market segments and in response to feedback from members of the industry.

In the Movies & Production field, for the first time an honor will be given to the Performer Showcase Release of the Year. This award will go to the best movie that is centered on a single performer.

In addition, two sets of award categories covering Transsexual and European works have been renamed to Transgender and Foreign, respectively; and the Best Scene – Non-Feature Release category has been split into Gonzo and All-Sex in order to recognize a wider selection of outstanding performances.

In the Web & Tech field, XBIZ has introduced an award for Live Cam Model of the Year. This honor will recognize exceptional work by a single model in the field of live cams.

Two other Live Cam categories, Affiliate Program – Live Cam and Adult Site of the Year – Live Cam, have been split into North America and Europe to recognize top networks within these distinct markets.

In addition, XBIZ is debuting two new Adult Site of the Year awards: For Women and Virtual Reality. The Adult Site of the Year – For Women award will go to the best site created and marketed specifically for a female audience; and Adult Site of the Year – Virtual Reality will recognize outstanding work in the emerging VR sector.

And finally, in the Pleasure Products field, XBIZ for the first time has created the Sexpert of the Year award that will recognize the most outstanding educator within the realm of sexual health.

“It’s with great pleasure that we present the best of the best from the business of sex,” said XBIZ founder and publisher, Alec Helmy. “Thanks to industry members round the world for submitting a record number of pre-nominations and for once again enabling us to recognize all the great minds and brands that make this industry so extraordinary.”

A star-studded red carpet affair that attracts the industry elite, the XBIZ Awards show is the most celebrated night of honors in adult. The annual event recognizes outstanding achievements across every facet of the multibillion-dollar business, including movie production, pleasure products, technology and retail.

Since its inception, household names from the world of adult have hosted the gala, including Jenna Jameson, Tera Patrick, Jesse Jane, jessica drake, Kayden Kross and James Deen. Its worldwide reach has led to international media coverage from renowned outlets such as the Los Angeles Times, CNBC, TIME, Cosmopolitan, New York Magazine, Huffington Post and The Daily Beast, among others.

The XBIZ Awards will once again coincide with the industry’s trade conference of the year, XBIZ 2016, which annually features an unparalleled lineup of guest speakers and special events dedicated to exploring the future of the adult industry.
