Kaye told XBIZ he got his start in the adult industry “before Al Gore invented the Internet” in the early 1990s shooting amateur porn. Kaye went on to direct titles for Puritan Video, Nitro and the “Twisted Tommy” line for Legend Video in the late 1990s.
His new company will be based in Pennsylvania, but will do most of its production in Europe.
“I’ve been working for a lot of people over the years, giving them good work,” he said. “But I wanted more out of it. I’ve been waiting to form my own company for more than 10 years. Now the time is right.”
Kaye describes his directing approach as a crossover, incorporating feature-type production values with gonzo-style sex.
“I think our productions have something for everyone and I think they are very couples-friendly as well,” Kaye said.
“The Collectors,” stars Sandra Parker, Linda Slim, Kyra Banks, Lisa Rose, Vanessa Moore and Evelyne Foxy.
Tommy Kaye Productions has already completed three other movies in addition to “The Collectors” including “Country Fresh,” (rural farm girls); “The Metrosexual” (European glamour); and “Derriere Digest” (big butts).
“Previously, I produced titles for other companies and several for myself, and I flew below the radar screen,” Kaye said. “Now I have three really great partners backing me who also believe in me. Together, we are planning to make some noise in this business.”
Tommy Kaye Productions is currently looking for a distributor and expects his website to launch soon with free galleries previews and video-on-demand.
