The Pleasure Chest Returns as Sexual Health Expo Education Sponsor

LOS ANGELES — The Pleasure Chest has signed on as the official sex education sponsor of the Sexual Health Expo, which returns to Los Angeles on Jan. 16-17 with a larger venue, the Hilton hotel in Universal City, Calif.

West Hollywood, Calif.’s landmark retailer The Pleasure Chest has served the local community with more than 40 years promoting healthy, pleasurable and fulfilling sex education.

“We’re proud to sponsor SHE LA for the second year because it is the premiere event for sexual education and wellness, two tenets we have built our business on,” said Sarah Tomchesson, The Pleasure Chest’s head of business operations. “SHE LA provides us an opportunity to showcase our favorite sex educators and is a great way to introduce attendees to our free in-store education program.”

With stores in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles, the Pleasure Chest has been a staple in the sexual wellness arena offering its customers a specialized experience in a judgment-free environment, a huge variety of toys and a regular series of free workshops.

Entering its second year, SHE has rapidly grown to become a must-attend event for consumers and manufacturers of sexual health products, generating coverage from CBS News, Vice.com, Playboy.com and other media for its groundbreaking approach to sex ed.

This year, SHE made a splash with events in Los Angeles, Phoenix and New York, which attracted diverse crowds of up to 2,500 attendees, spanning across various age groups with couples and singles of all genders and sexual orientations.

SHE Los Angeles will once again feature the refreshing, dynamic format that made it a resounding success at its previous editions. Anchored by engaging workshops led by the most sought-after sex experts and product showcases from leading manufacturers, in 2016, SHE also plans to expand on its entertainment value, adding a slate of fun new activities and games.

Emily Morse, sex expert and host of the top downloaded sex and relationship advice podcast Sex with Emily, will once again serve as SHE’s official spokesperson. Morse is currently a weekly co-host on the nationally syndicated radio show “Loveline” with Dr. Drew Pinsky. Morse also has appeared as an expert on television shows, including the “Today Show” and “Dr. Drew HLN,” as well as publications such as The New York Times, Los Angeles Times and Huffington Post.
