Spartacus Leathers Sponsors ‘Intro to Kink’ Workshop at S.F. State University

SAN FRANCISCO — Portland, Ore.-based BDSM products manufacturer Spartacus Leathers has sponsored this year’s “Intro to Kink” workshop at San Francisco State University slated for Wednesday.

Spartacus Leathers will be providing all attendees with its “Little Black Book of Kinky Tips,” a take-away handbook of kink basics, including definitions of toys and reminders of safe play.

“We’re thrilled to offer our support to EROS by providing our ‘Little Black Book’ to everyone who attends this workshop,” Spartacus Leathers Vice President Josh Miller said. “Education is key in every aspect of sexuality and particularly so in kink and fetish play.

“We’re proud to have been in this industry, educating and providing products to any who are interested in kink, for 28 years; we’re happy to see educational institutions are expanding their offerings to students with these sort of workshops.”

As part of SFSU’s EROS (Education and Referral Organization for Sexuality) annual program offerings, “Intro to Kink: Bondage, Fetish, & Sadomasochism” will cover:

• The what (and why) behind BDSM
• Consent, negotiation and communication
• Private vs. public BDSM play
• Basics of Dominance & submission
• Bondage techniques: Much more than rope (opportunity for hands-on practice)
• Impact play: spanking, flogging, caning, whipping
• The 10 most popular kinks and fetishes

The workshop is led by BDSM dominant, performer, bestselling co-author, porn actor and sex educator Danarama, best known as one of the “Two Knotty Boys” rope bondage instruction duo.

A frequent instructor for numerous BDSM educational websites, as well as the rope bondage rigger for numerous fetish productions and photographers, Danarama has also co-directed and performed as a dominant for numerous websites including Kink.

“Intro to Kink” will take place at the Cesar Chavez Student Center, Rosa Parks A-C, from 1-3  p.m. Attendance is limited to SFSU students; for more information, click here . Sponsor gift packs and raffle prizes will be provided at the conclusion of the workshop.
