U.K. MTV Star Marnie Simpson Becomes Face of Lovehoney

LOS ANGELES — MTV star Marnie Simpson has been unveiled as the new face of Lovehoney Lingerie.

The star of MTV's hit British reality TV series "Geordie Shore" said she was thrilled to be modeling the autumn/winter Enchant Me collection. The line has been inspired by Russian love stories — encapsulating the romance, passion and opulence of old Russia.

The company said the 23-year-old beauty was picked because she has a "real figure" and "great body confidence."

"I am really happy with my body at present and the lingerie is lush," Simpson said. "It is great to wear and it makes me feel incredibly sexy."

Simpson posed five weeks after surgery to improve a breast uplift operation from two years ago.

"It has been a long wait but my boobs are perfect now. Not too big, not too small — what you might call Goldilocks breasts!" she said. "I am pleased with my figure. I'm never going to be a catwalk waif but I don't want to be one — I love my curves.

"I think my best feature is my legs. They are long and slender and whenever I put on weight it never goes on my thighs, which is blessing."

The Enchant Me collection includes a basque in midnight blue and black, babydolls in pink, plum, red and black satin, bra and knicker sets in black, red and plum, plus a robe and lacy suspender belts. It has been designed for women of all shapes and sizes.

Lovehoney is Britain's largest online sex toy retailer; Simpson admits she has a few of their best sellers in her bedside cabinet.

"Every girl has a few toys," she said. "They are fun when you are in a relationship and fun when you are on your own, too!"

Simpson is the first star of "Geordie Shore" to front her own lingerie collection.

Lovehoney Lingerie designer Heather Mercer said Marnie was chosen as the new face of the brand because she is likeable, down-to-earth and has a "real figure."

"Lovehoney Lingerie is all about making women of whatever size feel amazing," Mercer said. "We thought Marnie was the perfect fit because she is a fun girl who has great body confidence."

Lovehoney began making its own lingerie a year ago and now its in-house collections are the best-selling pieces on the site. Around a third of Lovehoney’s annual sales come from lingerie.

Marnie is back for the new series of MTV's "Geordie Shore" starting on British TV on Tuesday. This time, the gang go wild during a summer of fun on the Greek islands.

"It was an absolute blast," Simpson said. "It is the most explosive series we have done and there have been a few fireworks before!"
