LOS ANGELES — Dr. Chauntelle Tibbals will be in Oklahoma City this week as part of her speaking tour for her new book, "Exposure: A Sociologist Explores Sex, Society, and Adult Entertainment."
Tibbals will present at the University of Oklahoma campus in Norman, Oklahoma, on Wednesday and Thursday, followed by a Thursday appearance at Hustler Hollywood and a Friday appearance at Full Circle Books.
“I’m looking forward to meeting students and members of academic community of the University of Oklahoma,” said Tibbals, the noted sociologist and adult industry expert. “It’s my first time at the campus, so I’m very excited about the opportunity to share excerpts from the book and my thoughts on the impact of the adult industry in our culture.”
Tibbals' book offers readers an insightful look at the business and personalities behind the porn industry, while exposing the myths and misconceptions surrounding adult entertainment.
Dr. Chauntelle follows her campus appearances with a visit to Hustler Hollywood in Oklahoma City at 7 p.m. on Thursday, when she will host a book reading and question-and-answer session for all attendees.
The following day, Dr. Chauntelle will host a book signing and reading from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Friday at Full Circle Books in Oklahoma City. She will read passages from her book and lead a question and answer session.
