According to Flava Works director Keith Kannon, the company began shooting content in hi-def early in 2006 for its ThugBoy.com website, which features urban black and Latino models in hardcore scenes.
“Delivering hi-def is just a natural progression for this company, which has always been on the cutting edge of technology, exemplified by our moves such as the introduction of iPod video bonus content on all DVDs over a year ago,” Kannon said.
For the past year, Flava Works has continued to update ThugBoy.com with content shot in hi-def. The company has also moved to hi-def for its live sex site CocoDorm.com.
Offline, Flava Works has said it will now shoot DVD content in hi-def for its “Thugboy” line.
Flava Works will release “Thugboy V3: Layin Da Pipe” in a two-disc set, with one standard DVD and one DVD with hi-def content playable on a PC, Mac or Xbox360 video game console. The company said it will eventually distribute content in either the HD DVD or Blu-ray formats once tools for those platforms mature to viability.
