Adult DVD Empire Announces 2006 Empire Awards Winners

WARRENDALE, Pa. — Adult DVD Empire has announced the winners of its 7th Annual Empire Awards.

Ninn Worx’s “Sacred Sin” won for Best Overall DVD, Best Feature DVD, Best DVD Audio Quality and the coveted Editor’s Choice Award.

Wicked Pictures took home the awards for Best Overall Studio, Best Compilation Studio, Best Compilation DVD for “Wicked Legends: Vol. 1” and Best DVD Menu Design for “The Visitors.”

Digital Playground claimed the Best All Sex DVD and Best Video Quality awards for “Island Fever 4” and the award for Best Selling DVD of 2006 for “Pirates.”

Vivid won Best DVD Extras for “Emperor” and Best Classic DVD for “Passages.”

Jules Jordan Video’s “Jenna Haze Dark Side” won for Best Gonzo DVD and was honored by a landslide win in the Viewer’s Choice category, garnering 48 percent of votes.

Other notable winners include Zero Tolerance’s “Interactive Sex With Courtney Cummz” for Best Interactive DVD, Private’s “Sex City” for Best Foreign DVD, Elegant Angel’s “Swallow My Squirt 4” for Best Fetish DVD and VCA’s “Neu Wave Hookers for Best DVD Commentary.

“I’m proud of our voters this year for not going with the ‘obvious’ choices in many of the major categories and casting their ballots for titles that really deserved recognition,” said Shannon Nutt, editorial director for Adult DVD Empire. “Our voters take their selections seriously, so all the winners this year should be extremely proud of their accomplishment.”
