NEW YORK — Alia Janine, the porn star turned comedian, will be heading to her hometown of Milwaukee, along with The Whormones Podcast co-host Jaqi Furback, for the Milwaukee Comedy Festival.
Janine retired from adult entertainment in 2012, and in 2013 she moved to New York City to pursue a career in comedy.
Janine will be performing stand up at Chuckle-Mania at Club Garibaldi’s on Friday and a special live recording of The Whormones Podcast at The Next Act Theater on Saturday.
“Jaqi Furback and I are really excited to be doing our first live podcast recording during the Milwaukee Comedy Festival! It's a great opportunity and we're very grateful,” Janine said. “We'll also be in the stand-up show, Chuckle-Mania Friday night, and we're looking forward to that, as well!”
Chuckle-Mania, host by MilwaukeeRecord.com, is Friday at Club Garibaldi’s located at 2501 S. Superior St., Milwaukee. The show starts at 9 p.m. with the bands Soup Moat and Crappy Dracula. The comedy show starts at 11 p.m. with host, Phil Davidson. It is $5 at the door, or free with a Milwaukee Comedy Festival pass.
