ASACP Honors its Featured Sponsors for August 2015

LOS ANGELES — The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) has announced its Featured Sponsors for the month of August, 2015.

ASACP’s Sponsor Recognition Program honors select digital media companies and service providers that support the association’s mission of keeping children out of and away from age-restricted materials on the Internet.

According to ASACP Executive Director, Tim Henning, without this support, ASACP would not be able to fund vital services such as its acclaimed CP Reporting Tipline — as well as the development of new tools for digital media stakeholders to help protect at-risk youth.

“From using free Restricted To Adults (RTA) website meta labels to tailor the effectiveness of content filtering tools, to following ASACP’s B est Practices and Code of Ethics, today’s digital media companies are taking proactive steps to ensure age-appropriate audiences,” Henning explains. “These industry leaders are setting a responsible example for their peers to follow by preventing minors’ access to age-restricted materials. This is one of the best ways for online companies to protect their business interests, and is simply the right thing to do.”

Honoring its generous Featured Sponsors for August, ASACP thanks Southern Charms, Dating Gold and IMLive for their ongoing sponsorship of the association.

Southern Charms
Online since 1996 and an ASACP Title Sponsor since 2003, Southern Charms is one of the world’s largest amateur websites, providing girls over the age of 18 an opportunity to have their own website.

Accessible to adults only, Southern Charms prides itself in being a very clean site that offers licensed models whose ages have been verified; with model releases on file for each model.

“You will not find any obscene material [or any underage models] at all on Southern Charms. You will only find clean adult amateur fun,” states a company rep. “Please rest assured that if someone communicates to us that they are interested in underage pictures of models, we will report it to the appropriate authorities immediately.”

In addition to its support of ASACP, Southern Charms backs up its business philosophy by making use of RTA labeling and a clean warning page, as well as by securing explicit content within a premium members’ area.

Dating Gold
A valued ASACP Corporate Sponsor since 2007, casual dating and webcam affiliate program DatingGold.com demonstrates its commitment to protecting children by including the RTA label on its flagship cam site WebCamClub.com and dating site, AmateurMatch.com. It also offers a number of other niche cam and dating sites, as well as affiliate co-brands.

Although ASACP holds its sponsors to the highest ethical standards, cam and dating sites are faced with additional membership requirements because they contain user generated content (UGC) that is produced outside of legitimate commercial channels that regulate a performer’s proof of age, so extra steps are needed to help ensure that only lawful images of consenting adults are displayed.

Here, DatingGold excels as an example of how proactive measures by content providers can make a difference in keeping children safe on (and from) the Internet.

IMLive
Joining ASACP as a Corporate Sponsor in 2007, ImLive / Pussy Cash is a premium provider of live interactive webcam services, which unites a global base of individual performers and studios with customers from around the world.

This puts the company straight at the forefront of ASACP’s mission to keep children out of and away from adult entertainment, which it does by requiring chat hosts to provide photo identification for age verification and by limiting explicit displays to paid private shows.

Beyond these measures and its support of ASACP, ImLive shows its commitment to online child safety by making use of RTA labeling and by offering a warning page overlay.

August’s Featured Sponsors show how the high level of corporate leadership shown by ASACP’s supporters can protect children from viewing age-inappropriate materials online, keeping the adult Internet for adults only.
