LOS ANGELES — In an industry that churns out dozens of titles in every niche on a weekly basis, Black Market’s Director of Sales Chuck Zane says the all-black gangbang is a genre that remains largely untapped.
Zane & Co. will ship their latest such entry, “Black Schoolgirl Gangbang,” on Wednesday.
“There’s not a lot of the black gangbangs, so we do them periodically,” Zane told XBIZ Monday. “It’s two complete gangbangs. A lot of times titles like this just have one. These do pretty well for us. We do one about every four months.”
“Black Schoolgirl Gangbang” stars the cover girl Kay Love and Chanell Heart in separate mini-gangbang scenes that were captured by industry vet Norris Alden.
While Black Market is well established as a destination for all-black and interracial porn, the company now takes pride in offering a wider range that includes newer lines such as Girl Co., Illicit Behavior and Tug Zone. All three of the Black Market sister studios made their debuts last year.
Tug Zone is reserved for Black Market’s hardest material.
“It’s mostly hardcore anal, gaping, and a lot of it is shot in Europe,” Zane said, noting that seasoned performer/director Joachim Kessef, a Frenchman based in Budapest, has become a go-to shooter.
Zane said Black Market would ship two Tug Zone titles (“Homeschooled" and “Old Dumb and Begging to Cum”) and two new Black Market movies (“Sweet Black Pussy 2” and “It’s a Group Thing 3”) in August. It has five titles on the September schedule, including the 10th movie from Girl Co., a yet-to-be-titled MILF/young girl release that stars Veronica Avluv.
“A lot of people still count on us for the interracial and all-black stuff, but now we’re mixing it up with our Girl Co., Illicit and Tug Zone titles.
“The reason we did that was there was a lot of that market we just weren’t getting and it also opened up our European market, which I’m very strong on,” added Zane, who brought his decades of industry experience to Black Market about a year-and-a-half ago.
Girl Co. debuted last March with “A Mother’s Love,” while Illicit Behavior broke ground with the Miley May gangbang “World Class Wrecking Crew” a month later.
Black Market introduced Tug Zone last July with “Young and Hopeless.”
“They’ve been doing very well,” Zane said. “You kind of get worried trying to introduce something new and different when people just look to you for the all-black content, but the buyers picked up the stuff pretty fast.”
Zane said they normally don’t cross genres with their newer labels, but the March release of “Black Couples and the Virgin Babysitter” was one exception.
“We put it out under Illicit Behavior and that did real well,” he noted. “It was just different enough to do so. We thought about it and we were excited to do it because it was different enough with a black husband, a white wife and a white babysitter. Other than that we don’t cross them over.”
And Zane said that “Seduced by a Black Woman,” which featured white girls being seduced by older black women, was released through Girl Co.
“Those are really the only two titles that actually crossed over,” Zane said.
