TRENCHCOATx Adds New Features

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — TRENCHCOATx.com, the pay-per-scene platform co-owned by Stoya and Kayden Kross, has announced new features.

On Tuesday the site rolled out a number of new features including a shopping cart allowing multiple individual purchases in a single transaction, two levels of subscription options, and Squick Protection/Squee Enhancement: a way for adult video consumers to have the site hide what they dislike and highlight what they love.

Kross remarked, “We had so many users who were purchasing every video that we offered that it only seemed fair to offer membership pricing. Also, they were directly asking for it. That was maybe our first clue. And for the users who don't want the commitment of a monthly membership but were a little encumbered by the individual video purchases, we've upgraded our cart to allow for multiple purchases at a time.”

Stoya expressed excitement to see how the Squick Protection and Squee Enhancement features are used, saying, “It’s pretty obvious that sexuality is a specific and highly individual thing. These features enable users of our site to tailor their own experiences to a level that demographic studies would never be able to accommodate, and put the exploration back in looking for porn.”

TRENCHCOATx also added pre-checkout registration, returned trailers to the site, and installed a more functional newsletter as part of the update.

TRENCHCOATx.com was launched March 3 as an a la carte platform that delivers videos for download on a scene by scene basis at a rate of $3.99 each. The pair said the concept is simple: "hand-selected porn that we would want to see, presented in a way that we would want to see it presented."
