ASACP Honors its Featured Sponsors for July 2015

LOS ANGELES — The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) is delighted to announce its Featured Sponsors for the month of July, 2015.

Honoring those digital media creators and service providers that have shown their support of the association’s ongoing mission to keep children out of and away from adult entertainment, ASACP’s Sponsor Recognition Program highlights the positive steps taken by these firms to make a tangible difference in this noble effort.

According to ASACP Executive Director Tim Henning, self-regulation by website owners, such as using the Restricted To Adults (RTA) meta label and non-explicit “warning” pages; following ASACP’s Best Practices and Code of Ethics; and other measures, have become an important consideration.

“Preventing minors’ access to age-restricted materials is one of the best ways for adult entertainment companies to protect their own business interests,” Henning stated. “This shows that the industry can govern itself — and is simply the right thing to do.”

Recognizing its generous Featured Sponsors for July, ASACP thanks CCBill, Hustler, and Porn.com for their ongoing sponsorship of the association.

CCBill
An ASACP Title Sponsor whose support extends back to 2008, Internet Payment Services Provider CCBill is a widely recognized brand in both merchant and consumer markets.

“ASACP is a critical component in both helping to maintain corporate responsibility within online markets and demonstrating our community’s commitment to childhood protection,” CCBill’s Gary Jackson says. “We are proud to offer our support as Title Sponsor, and look forward to continuing our long-standing partnership.”

Jackson serves on ASACP’s Advisory Council, further demonstrating CCBill’s commitment to supporting the association.

“What some may not know is that the CCBill Ethics and Code of Conduct Policies, which we adopted and applied to our merchants, were developed with the assistance of the ASACP, and working with Henning during their development was instrumental to how we as an industry leader operate,” Jackson explains. “This spirit of cooperation is further underscored through our participation on the ASACP Advisory Board, where we are able to engage with board members to drive attention to important matters across all merchant, consumer and online markets we serve.”

“As an invited member of the ASACP Advisory Board, we are honored to help the industry remain diligent and support its continued advancement,” Jackson says. “For example, the effort ASACP undertakes to actively discuss child protection measures with governmental bodies and regulatory agencies is paramount to maintaining a favorable business climate, since uniformed proposals or regulations can have dramatic impacts.”

“Take the age verification and access restriction discussions being aimed at billers and hosting providers, for instance. The focus and commitment of Tim Henning and his organization to serve as a voice for the industry in these various conversations is a massive benefit for all of us, and lending our support while serving on the Advisory Board is a privilege.”

Hustler
Hustler has been an ASACP Corporate Sponsor since 2006 and ranks among today’s most widely recognized brands in adult entertainment content, products and services.

In addition to its online offers, Hustler publishes its iconic men’s magazine, and operates a variety of enterprises ranging from novelty shops to a clothing line, gaming, bars and more, backed by the vision of renowned entrepreneur Larry Flynt.

The company balances its strong advocacy of free speech rights with corporate responsibility and a desire to protect children from inadvertent access to age-restricted content through such measures as offering a link to parental blocking information on the home page of its flagship website at Hustler.com.

Porn.com
An ASACP Corporate Sponsor since 2008, Porn.com has been a consistent supporter of the association’s mission.

Operating as a legal tube site that receives submissions only from registered users of its Content Partner Program, Porn.com bypasses many of the questionable content issues associated with tube sites that allow uploads from general users; which often consist of unauthorized postings of copyrighted material or depictions of underage models.

By controlling the sources of its content, Porn.com provides proof that tube sites can operate successfully without having to take a blind eye towards the type of materials it publishes.

July’s Featured Sponsors exemplify the corporate leadership and responsibility exercised by leading adult entertainment companies, which support ASACP and its mission to protect children from viewing age-inappropriate materials, setting a standard of excellence among their peers.
