NEW YORK — CockyBoys continued their winning streak over the weekend in Chicago at the 2015 Grabby Awards as "Answered Prayers" became the most awarded movie of the year.
CockyBoys and their exclusive performers brought home a total of seven Grabby's in Chicago this past weekend. Their hit film "Answered Prayers" took home the awards for Best Movie, Best Director (Jake Jaxson), Fan Favorite Movie of the Year, Best Videography, Best Newcomer for Tayte Hanson (this is the third year in a row a CockyBoy exclusive has won best newcomer); Best Supporting Actor went to Levi Karter for his role in 'Answered Prayers'; and finally Best Twink Performer went to CockyBoy exclusive Liam Riley.
In addition to taking home the slew of awards, CockyBoys also ended up raising more than $10,000 for charity. During their underwear auction at Side Tracks CockyBoys raised $6,000 for local Chicago charity Heartland Alliance Health, which helps feed impoverished people living with HIV. One after another the underwear flew off the CockyBoys with bids going from $250 per pair all the way up to $1,000 for one pair of underwear.
The next day at the CockyBoys fan event Cocky Con held at the Hard Rock Hotel there was a silent auction for memorabilia from "Answered Prayers" as well as a 'CockyShop Pop-up Store,' where fans bought t-shirts, hoodies, DVDs, trading cards, etc. More than $4,500 was raised at Cocky Con with all proceeds going to three charities: Les Children's Restaurant which supports and feeds street children in Cambodia; The Ali Forney Center which houses and protects homeless LGBT youth in NYC; and URGENT, which is an advocacy group for animals on death row in NYC. All three charities were chosen by Jake, RJ and Benny.
Cocky Con was a "huge success," the studio reported, and in addition to the money raised for charity there was an informative and emotional Q&A led by Erik Schut, managing director of TLAGAY with the owners of CockyBoys — Jake Jaxson, Director of Photography RJ Sebastian and Creative Director Benny MooreCock. The cast of "Answered Prayers" was in attendance for a special Q&A.
CockyBoy stars Levi Karter, Liam Riley, Tayte Hanson, Max Carter, Ricky Roman, Frankie V, Chris Harder and Diesel Washington were all on hand in addition to dozens of fans, porn superstars Colby Keller and Ryan Rose as well as renowned director Chi Chi LaRue.
Jaxson, owner and lead director of CockyBoys, remarked, "This weekend was surreal. From all the award wins to the money we raised for various charities, it couldn't have gone better. I'd just like to thank all the fans who came to see us from all around the world and who generously helped bring in so much money to charities in need. I'm forever grateful for such an amazing weekend and it couldn't have happened without all of you."
