LOS ANGELES — Adult industry photographer Rae Threat is currently in pre-production for her first film, a documentary about the transgender community in Thailand.
Threat is known for her provocative porn art collaborations with Kimberly Kane, Courtney Trouble, and April Flores. She did a fashion campaign for Mishka with Kane and has been exhibited at galleries in Vienna and Berlin with her photos of Flores.
With the doc, the LGBT activist intends to explore the culture's response to and effect from the Western world. To help raise initial funds for the film, she's currently selling t-shirts featuring genderqueer adult star Jiz Lee on Booster.com.
To promote the film, Threat also plans to exhibit at RuPaul's DragCon in May 16-17 at the L.A. Convention Center.
