BURBANK, Calif. — Porn Star Karaoke will return tonight to Sardo’s Grill and Lounge after nearly a three-month hiatus.
An early morning blaze on Feb. 2 put the bar out of commission, and it’s taken several months to renovate the space. The overhaul means new karaoke books and big-screen TVs, as well as new booths, for karaoke lovers.
The bar originally opened in 1967 when it was called the Old Town Inn before it became Sardo’s a year later.
In the summer of 2003, Sardo’s started attracting the local Porn Valley community, including many performers who kept coming week after week.
Porn Star Karaoke convenes every Tuesday evening at Sardo’s Grill and Lounge, 259 N. Pass Ave. in Burbank, Calif. 91505. Singing gets underway at about 9 p.m.
