Transgender Erotica Awards 2016 Set for Valentine's Day

LOS ANGELES — The Transgender Erotica Awards will return to the Avalon nightclub in Hollywood on Valentine's Day, Feb. 14, 2016, organizers confirmed Tuesday.

The after-party once again will be held the next day on Feb. 15 at Bardot, the connecting property to Avalon.

"For the past few years, we've been searching for a venue we could call home," said Kristel Penn, marketing and editorial director for Grooby, which produces the show. "The Avalon and its connecting property, the Bardot, were such a great fit for what we originally envisioned for the Transgender Erotica Awards and we love that there is room for us to grow here.

"We're a big fan of having our events during Presidents' Day weekend. That way our guests have extra time to recover from all the festivities! This year the awards happen to be Valentine's Day, so we hope our guests will bring their lovely dates to the show. Planning the TEAs have become a year-round job, so we're already brainstorming some fun stuff for 2016."

The Transgender Erotica Awards honors the best performers, content, producers and companies in adult entertainment.

The show was rebranded as TEA this year as new award categories were added along with additional sponsors. The 2016 show will be the eighth annual.
