Porn Biz Art Photographer CJ Everhard Interviewed by Fotografia

LONDON — Italian digital photographic magazine Fotografia recently interviewed CJ Everard about his photography and the project “US” specifically.

For “US,” a photographic book, Everard traveled across the Los Angeles area, shooting the adult entertainment industry's top executives, producers and performers, offering a photographic narrative of them at work and play in what he calls their “lateral sides.”

He even took a few snaps and published participants at XBIZ 360’s golf tourney in January 2012 to illustrate the everyday lives of those in the business.

“The project is actually about guilt and normality and where the two meet. The normality of guilt, the guilt of normality if you like,” he told Fotografia.

In a description on the adult entertainment business, Everard told Fotografia that it is “an industry that innovates continuously.”

“This is true from a product and service stand point as well as a technological one,”  he told Fotografia.”It is an industry that pushes boundaries regarding the client experience, redefining this as it deals with piracy and the evolving demands and requirements of the consumer. It is an industry that allows Americans to be great Americans.”

The London-based photographer, who collaborated with book designer Rob van Hoesel and writer Daniel Blight with the project, initially was available to kickstarter supporters only but now is available at several stores and through email.

"US" is now available at Louis Vuitton on New Bond Street in London, at Foam in Amsterdam, and at Artwords Bookshop in Shoreditch, London. It also is available by emailing Everard here. The book costs £55.00,  €65.00, $80.00. There will be a £5.00 admin and shipping charge added to the cost of the book for shipping in the U.K., and a £10.00 charge for shipments outside the U.K.
