Penthouse to Host Anniversary Party in Cannes

LOS ANGELES — Penthouse will host an invitation-only party to commemorate its 50th anniversary today in Cannes, France.

Hosted by Managing Director Kelly Holland and featuring a VIP guest list of global broadcast executives, TV personalities and major media outlets in the city for MIPTV 2015, the private event will be held at the Majestic Barriere Hotel.

The party will recreate the “Swinging 60’s," the era that launched Penthouse magazine in good old London Town. Guests have been encouraged to arrive in era-specific attire, including go-go boots, miniskirts and bell bottoms. Love beads will also be provided at the door for anyone who forgets their tie-dye t-shirts or pillbox hat. A pink carpet will lead guests to the Marta Ballroom complete with hosted bar, live dancers and a photo opp to be “In Bed With Penthouse.”

The party will also serve as the platform to announce the Penthouse Pet of the Year for 2015. Following the announcement, guests will have an opportunity to mingle with the lucky winner.

“Bob Guccione was a true visionary when he created Penthouse,” Holland said. “He perfectly captured and interpreted the desires of a nation at a time of change which served as the foundation to build the notoriety and success of the magazine.”

She added, "It’s an honor to continue to channel his spirit and ideologies through not only the magazine but our many other branded lines of business. This event is designed to celebrate his legacy and the influence he’s inspired in connection with men’s interests and lifestyle over the last five decades and our continuing evolution in the decades to come.”

The private party is being produced by local event organizers, DX-Events. MIPTV attendees can also visit the Penthouse Entertainment booth on the show floor at #1, C76.
