LOS ANGELES — Adult industry veteran Sascha Koch told XBIZ he is a partner in a new studio location venture called Number 1 Locations.
Launched in January, Number 1 Locations rents out properties for film shoots ranging from Burbank to Chatsworth and the Hollywood Hills. Koch said he has access to several houses, studios and clubs, among other places, for producers looking to book their next adult movie.
“We have very unique locations. They’re all super fresh,” Koch said. “And we’re adding two to three locations a week. We’re growing.”
A seasoned adult performer who has appeared in more than 2800 sex scenes since 2002, Koch previously owned Studio 8033 in the San Fernando Valley. That spot became a go-to location for porn producers before he sold it in early 2012 after managing it for seven years.
He said his experience is key when it comes to helping producers scout their next location.
“I’m not just like a real estate agent. I know what it takes to make a movie,” Koch said. “I know what’s necessary, whether it's a feature movie or gonzo. I know that parking is important. I know what kind of risks they’re taking — all the common-sense parts — because I’m from the industry.”
He added, “I’m not taking on any locations that have already been shot for the last 10 years. These are all brand new locations.”
Koch noted that some of the locations listed on his site, Number1Locations.com, are not currently available for adult productions, only mainstream. Producers should inquire with him for more information.
