Stoya, Kayden Kross Launch TrenchcoatX.com

LOS ANGELES — Adult stars Kayden Kross and Stoya on Monday announced the launch of their first joint project, TrenchcoatX.com.

TrenchcoatX is a pay-per-scene platform for a curated collection of episodic, sexually explicit videos. The site soft-launched on March 3 with the entirety of Kayden Kross and Manuel Ferrara’s XBIZ Award-winning “Misha Cross: Wide Open,” selections from Dana Vespoli’s critically acclaimed “Fluid” series, and the first scene of Stoya’s directorial debut “Graphic Depictions.” Soon to be released are also the series “Only," which focuses on solo performances, and the media darling “Screwing Wall Street."

The duo said the heart of the ideal behind Stoya and Kayden’s vision for TrenchcoatX is "the belief that sexually explicit content can be made without compromising vision, respect for the performer, story, consumer interest, or — most importantly — the heat of the explicit content in question, even in the economic climate created by the Internet conditions of today."

Kross reports that the site is already doing better than projected, as it began noticing sales immediately after the billing system was put in place. “We were forced into a soft-launch earlier than planned, for the simple reason that people discovered the site and began purchasing episodes without our encouragement or announcement," Kross said. "I was cautiously optimistic before. I’m realistically optimistic now.”

Plans call for one update of an episode from any of the existing series every Thursday, as well as from many more series titles that are yet to be announced.

Stoya expressed an excitement at the freedom to experiment, saying “Historically, one of the biggest strengths of adult entertainment has been its ability to adapt quickly to changing tastes, trends, and technologies. With Kayden and myself in full control, we’re able to bounce ideas off of each other as peers and implement them super fast. I’m incredibly interested to try different things and see what we’re able to do.”
