Naked Sword Signs COLT Studio Group to Exclusive VOD Deal

SAN FRANCISCO — Video-on-demand provider NakedSword.com has inked a multi-year exclusive VOD deal with COLT Studio Group. Under the terms of the deal, NakedSword will create and maintain several custom COLT VOD sites, grant an exclusive COLT channel on the NakedSword/AEBN video-sharing site PornoTube.com and promote COLT men in magazines and at live events.

The deal encompasses all of COLT’s lines, including COLT Minute Man Solo Series, Buckshot, Olympus and Legendary Bodies.

“The iconic COLT Studio Group has an enviable and consistent history, as well as an energized fan base,” NakedSword President Tim Valenti said. “We’ve worked hard in the past few years to bring COLT to a new generation of porn consumers.”

The new partnership comes less than two weeks after NakedSword merged with Charlotte, N.C.-based AEBN to create one large VOD company. According to Valenti, both companies will remain separate entities but plan for mutual ownership and profit sharing of their combined VOD libraries.

The new partnership between NakedSword and COLT also incorporates marketing aspects, which has NakedSword promoting COLT on its flagship site, along with AEBN sites MovieMonster.com, AEBN.net and MalePayPerView.com.

All COLT new releases will be added to NakedSword shortly after they are released. Additionally, NakedSword plans to use new media, such as PornoTube.com, GayPornBlog.com, social networking site qPeeps.com and “The Tim and Roma Show” webcast to increase COLT’s visibility in the gay VOD space.

“Our close relationship with NakedSword has been financially rewarding and personally satisfying,” COLT Studio Group President John Rutherford said. “Tim Valenti and his team have been by our side since the start and have been a key component to our considerable growth in the last four years. The newly expanded NakedSword network will give us the widest possible berth on the online stage and we look forward to working even more closely with them in the future. We trust them implicitly and are excited by the growth and promise that comes with the NakedSword-AEBN merger. This is a win-win for both companies.”

NakedSword, which launched in 1997 under the stewardship of Tim Valenti and Greg Lindberg, maintains a library of more than 4,000 full-length titles from more than 100-plus studios.
