LOS ANGELES — The next step in the progression of Keisha Grey becomes official in March, when Hard X will release the first anal scene of her career.
It’s a big moment for the 20-year-old, rising star from Tampa, Fla., who got into porn in August 2013 and has steadily increased her profile while building a reputation for uninhibited, bankable sex scenes.
That industry buzz led to Grey being selected as one of the four girls featured in the national ad campaign for the 2015 XBIZ Awards with James Deen and as an Official Trophy Girl for the Jan. 15 ceremony at L.A. Live.
“When we met Keisha she was a little skater punk from Tampa who was a little rough around the edges, but over the past year she’s blossomed into a beautiful young lady with amazing talent that shows through in her performances,” said Dave Rock, president of Motley Models, which has represented Grey since December 2013.
Her curvaceous figure and laid-back demeanor have led to regular callbacks for Grey’s services, according to Rock.
“Keisha gets rebooked because she’s just a natural beauty,” Rock said. “She’s super easy going on set, not high maintenance or diva-like, and that’s another reason why she’s so successful and her performances are so strong.”
The March release of “Big Anal Asses Vol. 3” starring Grey in her virgin anal encounter with Manuel Ferrara will come almost exactly one year after Hard X hit the streets with Grey’s star showcase “Keisha.” Mason directed both titles for the 2015 XBIZ Award-winning Studio of the Year.
“We’ve really taken our time with growing Keisha’s career,” Rock continued. “She’s had the good fortune of being able to work consistently for this past year. In the summer of 2014 we got her first interracial scene with Blacked.com [and available on DVD in ‘My First Interracial’], which really skyrocketed her name. …
“This whole time we were just keeping her busy and fielding offers. She’s always been open to [anal scenes] but we were just kind of waiting for the best opportunity moneywise as well as exposure-wise and we got that from Mason and Hard X.”
Rock added, “Mason loves Keisha and she loves working with Mason. Keisha respects her a lot. We had plenty of other offers in the same ballpark.”
Now 70-something titles into her career with credits for major studios such as Jules Jordan Video, New Sensations, Airerose Entertainment, Bang Bros and Evil Angel, Grey said she loves her job and is ready to show fans even more.
In this exclusive interview, the 2015 nominee for Best New Starlet discussed her path to this point, the best part of being a porn star and what’s next.
XBIZ: Now that you've been in the business for over a year-and-a-half, what do you think of the experience so far?
KG: I love it because it’s something different every day and I get to do what I love.
XBIZ: How did you hook up with Motley Models?
KG: I was approached back in Tampa by an unlicensed agency. I didn’t like the way they did business so I sought out better representation, which landed me with Motley where I’ve been for over a year. They’re good people. They really care about me as a person and keep me busy.
XBIZ: What have you learned about yourself since you've been in porn?
KG: I learned that I love anal sex.
XBIZ: How has your approach to performing changed since you first started?
KG: I’ve been working a lot harder with my time in the industry.
XBIZ: What inspired you to want to add anal scenes to your repertoire? How many anal scenes have you done so far?
KG: I’ve done three anal scenes so far total. I’ve been open-minded to trying more things as I’ve progressed in my career.
XBIZ: What are the favorite movies you've been in so far and why?
KG: I really loved being in ‘Big Anal Asses 3’ for Hard X because it was a big stepping-stone in my career and it was super sexy.
XBIZ: Who are your favorite scene partners so far and why?
KG: Manuel Ferrara because his dick is amazing and he’s always a pleasure. And Abella Danger. Not only because we look good as hell together, but also because she’s the shit and we have great chemistry.
XBIZ: What was it like being an Official Trophy Girl at the 2015 XBIZ Awards on Jan. 15 in downtown L.A.?
KG: I was really nervous to be in front of all of those people but I loved seeing everyone all dressed up and looking sexy.
XBIZ: How do you like living in Los Angeles compared with Tampa?
KG: I miss the humidity and the beaches in Tampa, but I like the vibe out here in L.A. better. There’s always something going on.
XBIZ: What was a previous job you had prior to getting into porn?
KG: I worked my ass off at two different jobs getting paid terrible money at a cafe and at a pizza restaurant.
XBIZ: What is the best part of your job?
KG: I get to have sex everyday with people that are tested and it’s never the same thing every day.
XBIZ: What is the most challenging part of your job?
KG: Dealing with people that aren’t pleasant.
XBIZ: What else are you excited about this year?
KG: I’m excited to show people how great of a performer I can be.
