'Meet The Stockroom' Panel Set for Saturday at Stockroom University

LOS ANGELES — The Stockroom announced plans for a special edition of its Stockroom University this Saturday, when it hosts its first-ever “Meet the Stockroom" panel.

The session will offer fans of the renowned fetish boutique an intimate behind-the-scenes look at the inner workings of the company founded in 1989 by Joel Tucker.

Hudsy Hawn, the head mistress at Stockroom University, said that Tucker himself had the inspiration for the panel.

“We do Stockroom University every Saturday, sometimes more and this ‘Meet the Stockroom’ panel is an idea our CEO had as a way to reach out to the general public and share all things kink,” Hawn told XBIZ Wednesday. “They can come and hear all about our company and our different roles and find out how the company works.”

The panel, which will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, is free to the public and will take place next door to The Stockroom’s Silver Lake retail boutique at 2809 1/2 W. Sunset Blvd. in Los Angeles, 90026. It’s the same location where The Stockroom holds its private parties and classes.

In addition to Tucker and Hawn, the confirmed panelists include Creative Director Juanito "Johnny" Blanco; Retail Store Manager Eddie Hibbs; Production Manager and Designer, O’Shay Nunn; Content Creator Jay Kantor; Marketing Coordinator Brendan Whalen; Wholesale Manager Jennifer Szanja; and Art Director Steve Diet Goedde.

Hawn said the panelists intend to discuss the ins-and-outs of running a BDSM business that includes online and brick-and-mortar retail, high fashion and Hollywood studio services, design and manufacture of kinky gear, and a state-of-the-art shipping warehouse.

“We’ll be sharing stories about the founding, early days, and over two decades of kink history, as well as answering any burning questions you might have about life at The Stockroom,” the company said. “Are we all chained to our desks every day? Do we get free samples? Is there an office dress code? The only way to find out is to attend!”
