ASACP Heads to Hollywood for XBIZ 360 Digital Media Conference

LOS ANGELES — The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) has announced its return to the XBIZ 360 Digital Media Conference in Hollywood.

According to XBIZ, its Digital Media Conference is part of the groundbreaking XBIZ 360 series of seminars, presentations, expert discussions and business networking sessions, plus exclusive special events for adult industry leaders. Slated for January 13-16 at Hollywood’s luxurious Andaz Hotel, XBIZ 360 features seven consecutive events individually devoted to digital media, adult content, pleasure products and retail — providing the adult entertainment industry with a showcase of technology, tactics and business opportunities — highlighted by the annual star-studded XBIZ Awards.

ASACP staffer members attending the event include Executive Director Tim Henning, and the association’s Membership Manager, Dawn Yagielowicz.

As part of its industry outreach, on Thursday, Jan. 15 at 2 p.m., ASACP will present an executive session at XBIZ 360, entitled, “Current State of Age Verification: What You Need to Know.”

Hosted by XBIZ’ Stephen Yagielowicz and featuring ASACP’s Tim Henning, along with ICM Registry VP Steve Winyard, this session will detail the latest happenings on the online age verification front — including the evolution of child protection in the U.K. and beyond — and its practical impact on adult website operators.

ICM Registry is a member of the U.K.’s Digital Policy Alliance, sitting on the frontline of this vital and ongoing undertaking, enabling Winyard to provide first-hand insight into the behind-the-scenes discussions that are reshaping the adult Internet as we know it, while Henning has nearly two decades of experience in protecting children online.

ASACP will also have an information booth set up outside the seminar hall, where donations and new sponsorships will be processed and is exhibiting at the show’s mix and meet session. The association will have an advertisement in the show guide along with flyers in the show’s gift bags, compliments of XBIZ and its sponsors, with this added level of exposure allowing ASACP to enhance its presence at Hollywood’s premiere adult industry gathering.

A joint fundraiser for ASACP and the Free Speech Coalition will once again be held at the upcoming XBIZ Awards gala, allowing attendees to help ASACP financially by making their donations before the awards show — during which the donors will be individually announced on stage and thanked by Henning and FSC CEO Diane Duke. XBIZ will generously match the first $5,000 raised during the event and will list the contributors in a joint ASACP/FSC advertisement set to appear in its industry publications.

“Our annual fundraiser allows everyone in the industry, whether they are sponsors or not, to support ASACP in its vital struggle to protect children online,” Henning stated. “By allowing ASACP to carry out its initiatives, such as the development of its Restricted To Adults (RTA) website label, this support proactively demonstrates that the adult entertainment industry is a responsible partner in keeping children out of and away from age-inappropriate materials.”
