Comedian Margaret Cho Moderating #SexTalkTuesday Today

CYBERSPACE — Mainstream comedian and actress Margaret Cho is slated to serve as special guest moderator of #SexTalkTuesday today, Jan. 5, at 4:45 p.m. EST, the Twitter-based show announced.

“Margaret is in every way an ideal person to lead a #SexTalkTuesday discussion,” said Angie Rowntree, owner of Sssh.com and producer of #SexTalkTuesday. “She’s incredibly witty, candid, brave, outgoing and very experienced in speaking frankly about subjects a lot of other people would rather avoid.”

The New York Times reports, "Margaret Cho has performed at Madison Square Garden and Carnegie Hall, and much of her comedy is so profanely unprintable that any attempt at paraphrasing would not do it justice.”

Beginning in January, Cho will co-host a show on the TLC channel called “All About Sex,” which premieres Jan, 10 at 11 p.m.

“Talking about sex has been central to Margaret’s comedy and social commentary.” Rowntree added. “We’re honored to have her bring her insight and wit to #SexTalkTuesday.

A prolific performer with a long history of critically acclaimed work spanning everything from books and stand-up comedy specials to her one-woman off Broadway show, “I’m The One That I Want” (later made into a best-selling book and feature film by the same name), Cho received a Comedy Album of the Year Grammy nomination in 2012 for her album, “Cho Dependent.”

A Twitter-based chat held every Tuesday of each month, #SexTalkTuesday is hosted and coordinated by Sssh.com, a destination for porn for women and couples.

Each session, a guest moderator asks thought-provoking questions to a group of online participants, who can participate via tweets.

To participate in Sex Talk Tuesday, log on to Twitter and use the #SexTalkTuesday hashtag during the hour-long show.
