LOS ANGELES — After two decades of taking a hiatus from the adult entertainment industry, performer Karen Summer is making preparations for a comeback in partnership with E-Comix by appearing in the action/thriller "Pussycats" comic book.
Summer appears with co-stars Priya Anjali Rai and Tanya Tate.
“Pussycats is very close to my heart. It is the first project I have worked on since my decision to come back to the business that I love,” Summer said. “With the expertise E-Comix has for producing licensed merchandise, it is really exciting to see how it has all come together. I’m looking forward to my new fans, and the new fans for Priya and Tanya.”
“The comic book format lets women in adult entertainment become mainstream pop culture characters, and thus lets them rebrand themselves via the Pussycats comic book,” said Vince Brusio, E-Comix president and publisher. “I am happy to have a major role in developing and executing a new book for Karen, and know that it will be well-received in the adult and comics community.”
Pussycats will be distributed internationally to more than 4000 brick and mortar stores by Diamond Comic Distributors, with a street date of March 4. Plans are also in motion for the book to be distributed electronically through Comixology.
