Ira Isaacs Transferred to Texas Prison That Once Housed Max Hardcore, Rob Black

ANTHONY, Texas — Ira Isaacs has landed at La Tuna Federal Correctional Institution in Anthony, Texas, located 12 miles north of El Paso.

Isaacs, the fetish filmmaker convicted two years ago by a Los Angeles jury for the mail distribution of four scat and bestiality titles, recently was transferred to the low-security facility from a high-security federal penitentiary in Victorville, Calif.

Coincidentally, the La Tuna prison was the same one that housed Rob Black throughout his sentence and Max Hardcore until he was discharged to a halfway house in San Pedro, Calif. The facility has an average of 900 inmates.

Black, the former operator of Extreme Associates, served 10 months after pleading guilty to federal obscenity charges over seven tapes. His wife, Lizzy Borden, also was incarcerated in a case brought on by the Justice Department over the course of six years. Both were released in 2010.

Hardcore served 30 months of a 46-month sentence on 10 federal counts of distributing obscene materials in central Florida over the Internet and through the mail. He was released in 2011.

Isaacs, who spent six years defending against obscenity charges, arrived at the La Tuna prison via the federal transfer center in Oklahoma City where he was housed for several weeks. He travelled to both facilities through the federal "con air" system.

Isaacs, federal prisoner No. 45196-112, is scheduled to be released on Jan. 5, 2018. He turned himself in to the U.S. Marshals Service in July.
