Video: Hundreds Demonstrate Over U.K. Porn Censorship Law

LONDON — Several hundred protesters outside Parliament made their points clear today: The new law putting a crimp on streaming various acts of pornography has got to go.

The #pornprotest demonstrators heard from various speakers taking aim at the new Audiovisual Media Services Regulations 2014, which took effect Dec. 1.

The new regs forbid U.K.-based online adult operators from distributing content that includes acts of female ejaculation, spanking, fisting, water sports, face-sitting, full bondage and other types of strong explicit content.

Once all the talking was done this afternoon, the face sitting began. Even Santa Claus got into the act.

Jerry Barnett, founder of Sex & Censorship, told XBIZ that the protest outside Parliarment was "historic" for the U.K. adult entertainment industry.

"The porn protest brought together hundreds of women and men from the porn industry and fetish scene, as well as members of the public outraged that their sexual liberties are under attack by ATVOD and the government," he said. "This was a historic occasion: Never before have British people protested for their right to view the sexual expression of their choice. Attacking porn has always been a soft target for government and regulators — not anymore."

#pornprotest, from what Barnett and others viewed, was a smashing success, which prompted this video, as well as attention from mainstream media outlets.
