Next Door’s Buddy Profits Acquires Active Duty

MONTREAL — Military fetish site Active Duty and its affiliate program Flamingo Bucks have been acquired by Gamma Entertainment’s Buddy Profits.

Founded in 1998 by Dink Flamingo, Active Duty features real amateur, all-American military guys in hardcore and solo videos. Active Duty will continue to release two new weekly updates: a hardcore video featuring real military guys and a solo featuring a new recruit.

With the assets acquisition of Active Duty, Gamma Entertainment will own and operate three prominent gay brands including Next Door Studios and Pride Studios under the Next Door Entertainment group umbrella.

The three combined brands account for 24 websites, 12 new weekly updates and a library of more than 7,000 exclusive videos.

“I am very pleased that Dink has agreed that Buddy Profits is best able to ensure the continuity of his ‘labor of love’ and the ongoing growth of the Active Duty brand," said Stephan Sirard, president of Next Door Entertainment. "I have a great deal of respect for Dink, what he has accomplished in this industry, and the brand that he has created. Our intention is to stay true to his vision while extending our reach into the military fetish niche.”

Flamingo, Active Duty's founder, will continue as lead director for the studio, under the creative management of the Buddy Profits team.

“I’m very happy Active Duty has found a new home at Next Door Entertainment and the Buddy Profits program," he said. "It’s an honor to know that it will be managed alongside such premium brands as Next Door Studios, Falcon Studios, Raging Stallion, Hot House and so many others. In an ever-changing, high-stakes game like the adult entertainment industry, where it becomes survival of the fittest, it’s always a good idea to align yourself with the sharpest players at the table.”

“I’ve always known that my true strength was recruiting the right talent to create a very popular product. I was never a marketing person or a business genius. I did the best I could with what I had. This deal will allow me to continue doing what I love most and leave the rest to the talented Buddy Profits’ team. Our combined talents will make Active Duty better than it’s ever been. I’m very excited about the future.”

Hector Camacho, Buddy Profits’ Managing Director said: “In keeping with our strategic plans for growth and diversification, I am excited as we continue to build our assets and portfolio that include some of the strongest brands in the gay adult entertainment industry."

"Active Duty strengthens our presence in the popular military niche and provides greater variety for our affiliates and consumers," he said. "We will continue to offer some of highest quality content and websites to our members and affiliates alike, all while powering many of the world's best known online adult brands under Buddy Profits."

Flamingo Bucks and ActiveDuty.com will soon be migrated to the award-winning Buddy Profits affiliate program where affiliates will have access to state-of-the-art marketing tools to help convert their traffic.

Flamingo Bucks affiliates will begin to be contacted with details on the migration and transition to Buddy Profits today.
