While the market for content shot in the Middle East is small compared to titles produced elsewhere, TightFit President Oren Cohen told XBIZ the novelty of the niche is simply “the icing on the cake.”
“This is just a refreshing, original film,” Cohen said. “It’s totally new, and that’s what appealed to me. It’s an antidote to the boring content we often have here in the U.S. The sex scenes communicate a live-for-the-moment attitude that is typical of life in Israel.”
Cohen said he believes the market for a film such as “Assraelis” is already there, even if consumers aren’t necessarily looking for ethnic content.
“I am absolutely thrilled to be bringing this incredible movie here, to the U.S.,” Cohen said. “When I began watching this movie upon arrival, I was excited at the chance to not only distribute this, but work on a series of Israeli adult films that I think contain some of the most beautiful women I have ever seen, having incredible sex. Everything about this movie is natural, and what I believe will be one of the most talked about adult films in 2007.”
The cast includes Amos Menoy, Atma Fauck, Ehud Sa'ado, May Buskila, Ron Dankner, Rony Pornstar, Shelly Mimon and Shotty G.
“Assraelis” hits stores Jan 19.
