ASACP Honors Featured Sponsors for December

LOS ANGELES — The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) has announced its Featured Sponsors for the month of December.

The group recognizes three of its oldest sponsors — AWE, Adult Friend Finder and The Lion’s Den — for their continued generous support of the association and its never ending fight to protect children online.

ASACP executive director, Tim Henning, explained that the association’s Sponsor Recognition Program honors companies that have demonstrated a willingness to put child protection ahead of irresponsible profits, setting a worthy example for their peers to follow.

“ASACP helps digital media businesses protect themselves by protecting children online,” Henning said. “Our Sponsor Recognition Program publicly honors the ongoing, substantial achievements that these companies have accomplished in this regard. By recognizing these companies, ASACP wants to inform legislators and other stakeholders that the legitimate adult entertainment industry is made up of professionals that are willing to do the right thing, proactively and without outside interference."

He added, “These firms consistently support the association, and its mission of protecting children, by keeping them out of and away from adult entertainment, with the highest ethical and operational standards.”

Adult Webmaster Empire (AWE) A Platinum Sponsor that has supported ASACP for more than eight years, and is perhaps best known for its Jasmin brand. Because of the unique nature of its services, the company takes its responsibilities seriously; protecting children from accessing its site, while ensuring that its cam models are of legal age — it is a process that starts with the proactive use of an overlaid warning page alerting visitors that age-restricted adult content is ahead. AFF goes beyond this basic step to offer a detailed guide to help parents protect their children, with tips for parental filter setup and more; demonstrating the company’s strong commitment to keeping underage users away. AFF’s consumer care extends to adults as well, with the firm also offering a guide to safe dating tips.

The Lion’s Den and The Lion’s Den Adult Superstore, a long-term ASACP Corporate Sponsor, is dedicated to providing consumers with adult merchandise — including a range of toys, magazines, DVDs, lingerie, massage oils and gifts for both bachelor and bachelorette parties. The Lion’s Den opened its first retail facility in Columbus, Ohio, in 1971 and has since then expanded to more than 40 locations throughout the country.
