LOS ANGELES — Derrick Pierce has been nominated in three categories for the 2015 XBIZ Awards on Jan. 15.
Pierce received nominations for Male Performer of the Year, Best Actor - Feature Movie for Digital Playground's "Apocalypse X," and Best Supporting Actor for Vivid's "Wetwork."
The veteran performer has had a prolific year, directing Hustler's feature film "Hard and Fast," which he also appeared in, and starring in feature movies like "Bangin Pornstars" (Pornstar Empire), "Big Ass Crush" (Airerose Ent.), "Captain America XXX: An Axel Braun Parody" (Vivid), "Rambone XXX: A Dreamzone Parody," and "Shades of Scarlet" (Zero Tolerance).
"It's fantastic to be nominated for my work," Pierce said. "The team at XBIZ has always been willing to support the individual as well as the larger companies, and I really appreciate that about them. It's been a really great year!"
Pierce took home last year's 2014 XBIZ Award for Best Actor in a Couples-Themed Release for "Tuff Love," a film he directed and starred in that utilized his MMA skills. Both films that Pierce was specifically recognized for this year, "Apocalypse X" and "Wetwork," went beyond the norm with their complex storylines, giving Pierce the opportunity to display his passions for acting, action, and fitness.
The 2015 XBIZ Awards will be presented by Fleshlight and the winners will be announced at the gala event held on January 15th at the JW Marriott LA Live Hotel in downtown Los Angeles.
