James Deen Donating to Breast Cancer Charities

LOS ANGELES — Crossover sensation James Deen announced that he will donate 50 percent of his web profits throughout October to benefit three top-rated charities assisting in breast cancer prevention, treatment and research.

Coinciding with National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the effort will benefit Living Beyond Breast Cancer, National Breast Cancer Foundation and The Rose, all not-for-profits.

“I know far too many people who have been plagued and/or died from cancer. I feel like a campaign against any form of cancer is a fight against all cancer, which is why I’m throwing my support specifically behind Breast Cancer Awareness Month,” Deen said. “The research I did shows most people are willing to contribute to breast cancer charities, so hopefully it is how we can have the most impact.” He added that the funding will come from his flagship websites, JamesDeen.com and JamesDeenStore.com.

“A member of my family, as well as a close family friend, had breast cancer,” Deen continued. “One beat it … the other didn’t. I could say the same about a lot of different forms of cancer. Again, my goal with donating profits from my sites is to fight cancer. Any cancer. All cancer. I don’t like cancer.”

October marks National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a month dedicated every year to a variety of activities and fundraisers increasing awareness of the disease. According to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer during their lifetime. Those whose cancer is detected early have a 98-percent survival rate after five years.

In addition to combatting breast cancer by purchasing memberships or goods from Deen’s sites, he encourages those interested in helping to donate directly to the charities. Deen’s Websites are the go-to location for everything about the adult entertainment icon and mainstream movie star. They feature his blog, links to his social media, current Deen news, merchandise, including his films, apparel and more.

Deen has performed in more than 3,400 sex scenes since 2004, capturing the XBIZ Male Performer of the Year award a record three times, including the past two years. He also has won XBIZ Crossover Star of the Year for two straight years for his ongoing impact in mainstream circles.

Deen has also signed on to host the 2015 XBIZ Awards, scheduled for Jan. 15 at L.A. Live in downtown Los Angeles.
