LOS ANGELES — Canadian adult broadcaster Sex-Shop Television Inc. announced that it is rebranding its Vanessa TV service as VividTV effective Oct. 28 in a new partnership venture with the multichannel TV division of Vivid Entertainment.

Sex-Shop Television chief executive officer Anne-Marie Losique will head the channel, which will offer programming in both French and English. The channel will provide the most popular Vanessa TV programming, along with content from Vivid.

“In collaboration with Vivid Entertainment, we will be able to offer what will be unquestionably the broadest and highest quality adult viewing packages in Canada,” Losique said. “This is an exciting new venture for our company.  Our viewers will get the best of both worlds. "

The Canadian channel was launched in October, 2010 and said it provides “television programming service devoted to the themes of charm, sensuality, eroticism and sexuality."

“Vanessa TV is without a peer in Canada as a provider of fine adult programming. We are delighted they are taking the lead in bringing VividTV to audiences throughout the country,” said Bill Asher, Vivid co-chairman who heads its TV division.

He added, “Because Anne-Marie knows the market so well, she’ll be able to package the best of Vanessa TV and VividTV.”
