HONG KONG — Producers of the Asia Adult Expo (AAE) have reported great success for its second Asia-Pacific B2B show.
Held Aug. 28-30 at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre, the event attracted 5,350 trade visitors from 42 countries and regions including Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Malaysia, Mongolia, the Netherlands, Russian Federation, South Korea, South Africa, Pakistan, Thailand, Turkey and the U.S., according to show officials.
Attendees participated in sourcing, networking and evaluating market opportunities.
“Buyers are impressed by AAEHK 2014 exhibitors as they found many new and innovative products and ideas at the show. It is believed that creativity and innovative design are important elements for industry development,” said Kenny Lo, chief executive of AAE organizer Vertical Expo Services Co., Ltd.
He added, “175 suppliers and brands from 15 countries and regions such as Germany, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, France, Hong Kong, the U.S., the U.K., etc. joined the expo and will return next year.”
Seminar topics included global possibilities with the industry, such as branding, legal perspective, quality assurance, 3D printing and trends.
The expo featured 11 speakers from Brazil, Korea, Hong Kong, the Netherlands, Australia, and more. The organizers said that more than 90 percent of the attendees thought the seminar topics were useful to their business development and will recommend AAE Industry seminars to others.
“We are eyeing the growing Asia market and that’s why we joined AAEHK 2014. We have met many buyers during the show, and I think AAEHK can possibly show the people how our brand — ZINI has lead the adult market. We will definitely come back next year,” said June Lee, President, MS Harmony.
“I was looking for new suppliers. Basically, you have the best products here, all manufacturers are here, and the most important key factor is the prices are the best. I will come back next year because Asia has offered the U.S. retailers by far the greatest opportunities you can find,” added So Kenney, CEO of LGI Distributors.
Leanne Hill, managing director of Australia’s SYD Hill & Sons was also pleased. She said, “I am a distributor in Australia and I came to AAEHK to meet my suppliers and also source for new suppliers and products. Hong Kong is a perfect location for having an adult show, it is close to many places, and I will visit again in 2015.”
The next Asia Adult Expo —Macao (AAEMO) will be held from Dec. 12-14, 2014 at the Cotai Strip Convention and Exhibition Center at the Venetian Macao. AAEMO welcomes both traders and the public.
Asia Adult Expo – Hong Kong will be held on Aug. 27-29, 2015 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center.
